उपायुक्त डीसी राणा ने कहा कि स्वास्थ्य विभाग  जिले में  सभी  दुकानों के खाद्य लाइसेंस की उपलब्धता को सुनिश्चित करें ।  वे  आज  जिला स्तरीय खाद्य सुरक्षा एडवाइजरी कमेटी की बैठक की अध्यक्षता करते हुए बोल रहे थे ।

उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि बिना खाद्य लाइसेंस के दुकानदारी करना अपराध है और ऐसे दुकानदारों के विरुद्ध नियमानुसार कार्रवाई अमल में लाई जाए। 

उपायुक्त ने लोगों को इस संदर्भ में  जागरूक किए जाने की आवश्यकता पर भी विभाग को कार्य करने करने के निर्देश दिए । उन्होंने लोगों का आह्वान किया कि वे  दुकानों से सामान खरीदने से पूर्व एक्सपायरी तिथि सहित अन्य आवश्यक तथ्यों की जांच अवश्य करें। यदि कोई दुकानदार नियमों का उल्लंघन करता है तो उस अवस्था में  स्वास्थ्य विभाग अथवा प्रशासन को सूचित करे ताकि उस पर कार्रवाई अमल में लाई जा सके। उपायुक्त ने विभाग को निर्देश देते हुए कहा कि यह भी सुनिश्चित किया जाए कि  ढाबा संचालक और मिठाई विक्रेता  कुकिंग ऑयल का बार- बार इस्तेमाल न करें। उन्होंने कहा कि अक्सर देखा जाता है कि अधिक मुनाफ़ा कमाने के लिए ढाबा, रेहड़ी अथवा रेस्टोरेंट संचालक कुकिंग ऑयल को बदले बिना उसमें ही व्यंजन बनाते हैं, जोकि सेहत के लिए हानिकारक है। जब खाद्य वस्तुएं तलने के लिए एक ही तेल का प्रयोग बार-बार किया जाता है तो उसमें फ्री रेडिकल्स का निर्माण हो जाता है, जोकि गंभीर बीमारियों का कारण बन सकता है। इससे कैंसर, कॉलेस्ट्रोल आदि बीमारियों की चपेट में आने की संभावना अत्यधिक हो जाती है। उन्होंने कहा कि ढाबा, रेहड़ी अथवा रेस्टोरेंट संचालक एक- दो बार तेल का इस्तेमाल करके बदल लें और इस्तेमाल किया गया पुराना तेल अपने पास रख लें। सरकार की ओर से अधिकृत  कंपनी प्रति लीटर की दर से पुराना तेल दुकानों से एकत्रित करेगी । इसके लिए    कलेक्शन सेंटर भी      जल्द बनाया  जा रहा है । उपायुक्त ने यह भी कहा कि मीट विक्रेताओं को 75 फीसदी अनुदान पर ऋण मुहैय्या करवाया जा रहा है। इसमें वे न केवल दुकान की मरम्मत करवा सकते हैं बल्कि नए विद्युत उपकरण जैसे फ्रिज, एयर कंडीश्नर आदि भी खरीद सकते हैं। इच्छुक मीट विक्रेता को उद्योग विभाग के कार्यालय में जाकर आवेदन करना होगा।   उन्होंने कहा कि चम्बा में क्लीन स्ट्रीट फ़ूड हब बनाने की संभावनाएं तलाशी जा रही हैं। उन्होंने जिले में ढाबा व रेहड़ी संचालकों के नियमित औचक निरीक्षण करने के आदेश भी दिए। इस दौरान ईट राईट कैंपस को लेकर भी चर्चा की गई और उपायुक्त ने स्कूलों, विभिन्न विभागों के कार्यालय परिसर में कैंटीन आदि पंजीकृत करवाने के लिए कवायद आरंभ करने को भी कहा। उन्होंने भोग अभियान के तहत सभी मंदिरों का पंजीकरण करने के आदेश भी दिए। इस मौके पर मुख्य चिकित्सा अधिकारी डॉ. राजेश गुलेरी ने कहा कि जन जागरूकता के लिए विभाग पूर्ण प्रयासरत है। जल्द ही विभाग की ओर से लोगों को खाद्य सुरक्षा अधिनियम के प्रति जागरूक किया जाएगा।  बैठक के दौरान व्यापार मंडल के अध्यक्ष वीरेंद्र महाजन ने कहा  कि इस संदर्भ में  व्यापार मंडल  स्वास्थ्य विभाग व प्रशासन का हर संभव सहयोग करेगा । इस मौके पर सहायक आयुक्त खाद्य सुरक्षा चम्बा सविता ठाकुर, खाद्य शिक्षा अधिकारी दीपक आनंद भी मौजूद रहे।
