ड्यूटी के दौरान शराब पीकर आने के मामले में 2 पुलिस कर्मियों को एसपी ने सस्पेंड कर उन्हें लाइन हाजिर होने के आदेश दिए हैं। शनिवार देर रात की इस घटना के अनुसार पुलिस अधीक्षक अरूल कुमार ने नाकों का निरीक्षण कर रहे थे। इस दौरान भरमौर चौक पर नाके पर तैनात 2 पुलिस कर्मियों से जब एसपी ने बात की तो पुलिस कर्मियों के शराब पिए होने का आभास होने पर एसपी ने उनका मैडीकल करवाया। मेडिकल में शराब पीने की पुष्टि हो गई। इसके बाद एसपी ने तुरंत कार्रवाई करते हुए दोनों पुलिस कर्मियों को सस्पैंड कर दिया और उनके खिलाफ विभागीय जांच बैठा दी है, ताकि आगामी कार्रवाई की जा सके।
जिले के कई क्षेत्रों में सुरक्षा के चलते को नाकाबंदी होती है जहां पुलिस जवान तैनात रहते हैं। नाकों की जांच के लिए एसपी चंबा ने औचक निरीक्षण किया। इस दौरान ड्यूटी में कोताही बरतते हुए ये 2 पुलिस कर्मी दारू के नशे में टल्ली होकर ड्यूटी दे रहे थे। ऐसे पुलिस कर्मियों की वजह से शहर की सुरक्षा व्यवस्था खतरे में पड़ सकती थी। एसपी ने ड्यूटी में कोताही बरतने पर उन्हें सस्पैंड कर सबक सिखा दिया। एसपी की देर रात को कार्रवाई के बाद पूरे पुलिस प्रशासन में हड़कंप मच गया है।
