जिला के पुलिस थाना चुवाड़ी के तहत तीन युवकों को चिट्टे की खेप के साथ पकड़ा गया है। तीनों आरोपी सिहुंता क्षेत्र से हैं। जानकारी के अनुसार एसएनसीसी कांगड़ा की टीम ने जब पुलिस चौकी लाहडू में नाकाबंदी की हुई थी तो इसी बीच सामने से आई कार नंबर एचपी-57- 0349 को जांच के लिए रोका गया। जब कार चालक से वाहन के दस्तावेज दिखाने को कहा गया तो कार में सवार तीनों व्यक्ति घबरा गए। उनकी संदिग्ध हरकतों को देखते हुए कार की तलाशी ली गई। तलाशी के दौरान कार में से 5.55 ग्राम चिट्टा बरामद हुआ। चिट्टे की खेप को कब्जे में लेकर सिहुंता क्षेत्र के रणजीत सिंह पारस पठानिया तथा मनोज सिंह को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया है।

स्टेट नारकोटिक्स कंट्रोल यूनिट कांगड़ा की इस टीम में ए एस अाई करतार चंद, एचएचसी मोहम्मद असलम मनोहर लाल तथा कांस्टेबल संजय कुमार तथा रॉकी कुमार शामिल थे। उधर डीएसपी डलहौजी विशाल वर्मा ने जानकारी देते हुए बताया की पुलिस को इन लोगों पर तस्करी का शक था जिसके आधार पर पुलिस ने आज इन्हें आरोपियों को चिट्टे की खेप सहित लाहडू में दबोचा है। उन्होंने तीनों की गिरफ्तारी की पुष्टि की है।

जानकारी के अनुसार पारस पठानिया को इससे पहले भी चिट्टे की तस्करी के मामले में गिरफ्तार किया गया था तथा आरोपी पूर्व कांग्रेस विधायक का भतीजा है।
