वन विभाग को पंचायत के उपप्रधान के सूचित करने के 24 घंटे बाद भालुओं ने आज सुनील कुमार के घर को तोड़ डाला। मामला भटियात उपमंडल की काहरी पंचायत के काला बन क्षेत्र में पेश आया। अपेक्षाकृत ऊंचाई पर घास से भरी चरागाहों के किनारे धारों पर बने लोगों के घर इन दिनों भालुओं के निशाने पर हैं तो वहीँ इससे परेशान ग्रामीणों ने वन विभाग से मदद की गुहार लगाई है। जानकारी के अनुसार धारों पर बने तथा स्थानीय भाषा में दुधार कहे जाने वाले घरों में किसी के न होने के कारण ग्रामीणों को मिले एकमुश्त तीन माह के राशन को खाने के लिए यह भालू पहुंच रहे हैं।

बताते चलें कि भालुओं के कोहराम का शिकार हो रहे काला बन नामक क्षेत्र में पंचायत के नघियार तथा डैन घोड़ी गांव के लोगो के करीब दस के करीब घर हैं
यह भी बता दें कि साल के कुछ माह मवेशियों के लिए यहां अच्छे घास के होने के कारण ग्रामीण गुजारते हैं। बर्फवारी के बाद खाने की कमी के चलते भालू इन दिनों रिहायशी क्षेत्रों में खाना तलाशने पहुंच रहे हैं।

ऊंचाई पर स्थित धारों पर बने इन घरों में किसी के न होने के कारण यह भालू छतों के स्लेटों तथा दरवाजों से घरों के अंदर दाखिल हो खाने की तलाश में अंदर पड़ी सामान को तहस नहस कर देते हैं। हिमालय के यह काले भालू शाकाहारी होने के कारण घरों पर धावा बोल रहे हैं जिससे लोगों को नुकसान का सामना करना पड़ रहा है।

जिला के भटियात उपमंडल के तहत आने वाले काहरी पंचायत के लोग इन दिनों भालुओं से खासे परेशान हैं। इस बाबत ग्रामीणों ने वन विभाग से मदद की गुहार लगाई है
वन विभाग से मिली जानकारी के अनुसार जल्द ही विभाग के अधिकारी भी मौके पर जाकर स्थिति का जायजा लेंगे। बहरहाल विभाग नुकसान का आकलन करने के बाद प्रभावित लोगों को हर संभव मदद की बात कह रहा है।

जानकारी के अनुसार काला बन में दो गांवों नघियार तथा डैन घोड़ी के लोगों गिरधारी लाल, तिलक राज, साधु राम, कुंज लाल, सीता देवी, पूर्ण चंद, तिलक राज, कमली देवी, खितु राम, परस राम तथा नानक चंद के घर हैं।


उपप्रधान चमन लाल के अनुसार भालुओं ने सबसे पहले गिरधारी लाल पुत्र जीणु राम के घर का तोडा था तो वहीँ गत रात सुनील कुमार के घर को नुकसान पहुंचाया है
उपप्रधान चमन लाल ने वन विभाग से जल्द से कार्रवाई की मांग है
उधर इस संदर्भ में डीएफओ डलहौजी कमल भारती से बात की गई तो उन्होंने इस संदर्भ में सुचना मिलने की पुष्टि करते हुए बताया कि सम्बंधित वन रक्षक को मौके पर भेजा गया है
उन्होंने बताया कि लोगों को हुए नुकसान का आकलन कर उनकी हर संभव मदद विभागीय तौर पर की जाएगी।

जानकारी के अनुसार वन परिक्षेत्र अधिकारी की अगुवाई में वन विभाग की टीम राजस्व विभाग के साथ जल्द ही मौके पर पहुँच मामले की जाँच कर नुकसान का आकलन करेगी।
