नगर परिषद डलहौजी के चुनाव भाजपा के जिलाध्यक्ष तथा पूर्व नप प्रधान के लिए प्रतिष्ठा का सवाल बने हुए हैं। एक ओर जहां ठाकुर की अगुवाई में भाजपा जोरदार प्रचार कर रही थी तो दुसरे धड़े ने भी कोई कसर नहीं छोड़ रखी है। राजनीति में उदय जल्द होता है तो वहीं अस्त उससे भी जल्दी होता है। बतौर जिलाध्यक्ष ठाकुर के लिए यह चुनाव जीतना अहम होगा वरना पार्टी को एकजुट रख पाना दूर की कौड़ी नजर आता है। ऐसे में गुटों में बंटी भाजपा के लिए नई ताजपोशी कर संतुलन साधना जरूरी होगा।
जिला अध्यक्ष डीएस ठाकुर के अपने विधानसभा क्षेत्र में दोफाड़ भाजपा के चुनावी नतीजे आज आएंगे। मतदान शुरू होने को लेकर डलहौजी में तैयारियां जारी हैं। यहां मौजूदा विधायक तथा तेज तरार दिग्गज कांग्रेस नेत्री आशा कुमारी की अगुवाई में जहां पार्टी एकजुट है तो दोफाड़ भाजपा के दोहरे प्रत्याशी चुनाव लड़ रहे हैं। एक तरफ पार्टी जिलाध्यक्ष की अगुवाई में हाईकमान की ओर से फाइनल हुए भाजपा प्रत्याशी हैं तो दूसरी ओर पूर्व नगरपरिषद प्रधान का कुनबा, जिसे भाजपा समर्थित कह प्रचारित किया जा रहा है। हालांकि यह भी बता दें कि नगर परिषद डलहौजी की राजनीति विधानसभा चुनावों में कोई निर्णायक भूमिका नहीं निभाती है। हल्के में जहां विधायक आशा कुमारी का जलवा आज भी बरकरार है तो वहीं भाजपा शहर तक सीमित है। दिग्गज नेत्री से हार कर बैठे ठाकुर को यहां कांग्रेस से ज्यादा भाजपा के दूसरे धड़े से खतरा है। अब देखना यह है कि यहां का निकाय चुनाव का नतीजा किसकी राजनीतिक हस्ती पर भारी पड़ता है। अध्यक्ष होने के नाते डीएस ठाकुर के लिए पहले एमएलए चुनाव हारने के बाद अब यहां निकाय चुनाव के नतीजे खासे मायने रखते हैं। हालांकि नगर परिषद से विधायक के चुनाव की राह देखना भी यहां बेमानी नजर आता है।
