एक हफ्ते से लगे कर्फ्यू के बावजूद नशा तस्कर नई ईयर पर नशा बेच कर चांदी कूटने की फ़िराक में रहे! बताते चलें कि मुंबई में पिछले एक सप्ताह से नाइट कर्फ्यू लगा हुआ है लेकिन ड्रग माफियाओं को उम्मीद थी कि वे नए साल की पार्टियों के लिए ड्रग्स से मोटी कमाई कर लेंगे। इस वजह से ग्राहकों की तलाश में जब ड्रग तस्करों ने सड़कों पर गश्त करना शुरू किया, तो मुंबई पुलिस ने उन्हें ट्रैक करने की कोशिश की। इसी बीच बांद्रा ऐंटी नार्कोटिक्स सेल को गुरुवार रात 51 लाख रुपये कीमत की कोकीन जब्त करने में कामयाबी मिली।
डीसीपी दत्ता नलावडे ने बताया कि उनकी टीम ने एक केस में विदेशी नागरिक होनोरे गाही को गिरफ्तार किया है। होनोरे रात में वाकोला में जब एक हॉस्टल के पास धीमी रफ्तार से नैनो कार घुमा रहा था, तब सीनियर इंस्पेक्टर अनिल वाढवणे को शक हुआ। उन्होंने जब कार चला रहे व्यक्ति को रुकने को कहा, तो वह घबरा गया। इस पर वाढवणे ने पूछा, ‘तुम इतना परेशान क्यों हो?’ इस पर वह कोई जवाब नहीं दे पाया। बाद में जब नैनो की तलाशी ली गई, तो उसमें 204 ग्राम कोकीन मिली।
अनिल वाढवणे के अनुसार, आरोपी का पासपोर्ट भी पुलिस ने जब्त किया है। उसका वीजा एक्सपायर हो चुका है। बावजूद इसके वह मुंबई में रहकर ड्रग्स का कारोबार कर रहा था। पुलिस अब उसके मोबाइल का सीडीआर निकाल रही है, ताकि पता किया जा सके कि उससे कौन-कौन लोग ड्रग्स लेते थे। जांच में पता चला है कि वह कुछ-कुछ दिन के अंतराल पर अपने रहने का अड्रेस बदल देता था। वह इस कारोबार में अपने साथ किसी और को नहीं रखता था, ताकि दूसरे के पकड़े जाने पर उसका ठिकाना न पता चल सके। वह पब्लिक ट्रांसपोर्ट का कभी भी उपयोग नहीं करता था। उसने इसीलिए नैनो कार खरीदी थी, ताकि वह तो ग्राहकों तक आसानी से पहुंच सके, लेकिन जांच एजेंसियों को उस तक पहुंचने में हमेशा मुश्किल रहे।
