हमीरपुर जिला में नवगठित एवं पुनर्गठित ग्राम पंचायतों की मतदाता सूचियों का गहन पुनर्निरीक्षण कार्य आरंभ कर दिया गया है। विकास खंड नादौन, सुजानपुर, बमसन, बिझड़ी तथा भोरंज की इन नवगठित एवं पुनर्गठित ग्राम पंचायतों की मतदाता सूचियों का गहन पुनर्निरीक्षण राज्य निर्वाचन आयोग के निर्देशानुसार किया जा रहा है। इन पंचायतों के निर्वाचन क्षेत्रों की मतदाता सूचियों को लेकर जनसाधारण के दावे या आक्षेप आमंत्रित करने के लिए इनका प्रारूप प्रकाशित कर दिया गया है।
 जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी (पंचायत)  एवं उपायुक्त देवाश्वेता बनिक ने बताया कि इन मतदाता सूचियों का प्रारूप उपायुक्त कार्यालय, जिला परिषद कार्यालय, संबंधित बीडीसी और ग्राम पंचायत कार्यालय में आम जनता के निशुल्क निरीक्षण के लिए उपलब्ध करवा दिया गया है।
 जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी ने बताया कि एक दिसंबर 2020 को अहर्ता तारीख मानते हुए तैयार किए गए मतदाता सूचियों के इस प्रारूप के संबंध में किसी व्यक्ति को कोई आपत्ति हो या वह अपना नाम इन सूचियों में दर्ज करवाना चाहता है तो वह अपना दावा या आक्षेप 28 नवंबर तक संबंधित पुनर्निरीक्षण अधिकारी या खंड विकास अधिकारी के समक्ष निर्धारित प्रपत्र पर स्वयं या अपने अभिकर्ता के माध्यम से प्रस्तुत कर सकता है। इस संबंध में अधिक जानकारी के लिए पंचायत सचिव से संपर्क किया जा सकता है। दावे या आक्षेप प्रस्तुत करने के लिए निर्धारित प्रपत्र उपरोक्त अधिकारियों के पास निशुल्क उपलब्ध रहेंगे। पंजीकृत डाक द्वारा भी दावे या आक्षेप भेजे जा सकते हैं, लेकिन ये 28 नवंबर तक पहुंच जाने चाहिए।
 जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी ने बताया कि पुनर्निरीक्षण अधिकारी सात दिनों के भीतर दावों या आक्षेपों का निपटारा करेंगे। पुनर्निरीक्षण अधिकारी के निर्णय के विरुद्ध सात दिनों के भीतर जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी (पंचायत) के समक्ष अपील की जा सकती है। जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी पांच दिनों के भीतर अपील का निपटारा करेंगे और 18 दिसंबर को मतदाता सूचियों का अंतिम प्रकाशन कर दिया जाएगा।
