मुख्यमंत्री स्वावलंबन योजना के अंतर्गत जिला स्तरीय समिति की बैठक उपायुक्त देवाश्वेता बनिक की अध्यक्षता में हुई। बैठक में समिति ने मुख्यमंत्री स्वावलंबन योजना के 22 आवेदनों पर व्यापक चर्चा के बाद इन्हें अनुमोदित कर दिया। जिला स्तरीय समिति के अनुमोदन के बाद इन आवेदनों को बैंकों को भेजा जाएगा।
   इन सभी प्रस्तावित उद्यमों में लगभग 5 करोड़ 3 लाख रुपये के निवेश का प्रस्ताव है तथा इनमें करीब 91 लोगों को रोजगार उपलब्ध होगा। इन उद्यमों के लिए मुख्यमंत्री स्वावलंबन योजना के तहत एक करोड़ 11 लाख रुपये की सब्सिडी मिलेगी। बैठक के दौरान उपायुक्त ने अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिए कि वे युवाओं को इस योजना का लाभ उठाने के साथ-साथ ईको-फे्रंडली उद्यम लगाने के लिए प्रेरित करें। उन्होंने बैंक अधिकारियों को मुख्यमंत्री स्वावलंबन योजना के आवेदकों को सकारात्मकता एवं शीघ्रता से ऋण मंजूर करने के निर्देश भी दिए।
  उपायुक्त ने कहा कि 18 से 45 वर्ष आयु के हिमाचल निवासी मुख्यमंत्री स्वावलंबन योजना का लाभ उठा सकते हैं। इस योजना के अंतर्गत 60 लाख रुपये तक के निवेश में 40 लाख रुपये के उपकरणों एवं मशीनरी पर 25 प्रतिशत सब्सिडी का प्रावधान है। महिलाओं के लिए 30 प्रतिशत और विधवा महिला के लिए 35 प्रतिशत सब्सिडी निर्धारित की गई है। उत्पादन शुरू होने के बाद 40 लाख रुपये तक के ऋण पर 5 प्रतिशत का ब्याज अनुदान भी दिया जाएगा।
  बैठक के दौरान योजना की उपलब्धियों की जानकारी देते हुए जिला उद्योग केंद्र के महाप्रबंधक विजय कुमार चौधरी ने बताया कि पात्र व्यक्ति उद्योग विभाग की वेबसाइट पर ऑनलाइन आवेदन कर सकता है। ऑनलाइन आवेदन के समय आधार कार्ड, बोनाफाइड हिमाचली प्रमाणपत्र और प्रोजेक्ट रिपोर्ट अपलोड करनी होगी। अधिक जानकारी के लिए जिला उद्योग केंद्र हमीरपुर या खंड विकास अधिकारी के कार्यालय में उद्योग प्रसार अधिकारी से संपर्क किया जा सकता है।
 बैठक में जिला अग्रणी बैंक प्रबंधक कार्यालय से अजय कतना और उद्योग विभाग के प्रसार अधिकारी प्रवेश कुमार भी उपस्थित थे।
