पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी की जयंती पर उन्‍हें श्रद्धांजलि देने राष्‍ट्रपति, प्रधानमंत्री समेत गणमान्‍य हस्तियां ‘सदैव अटल’ पहुंची। ‘सदैव अटल’ पूर्व पीएम के समाधि स्‍थल का नाम है। राष्‍ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद, प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी, गृह मंत्री अमित शाह, रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह, वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण और रेल मंत्री पीयूष गोयल समेत केंद्र सरकार के कई मंत्रियों ने बीजेपी के संस्‍थापक सदस्‍य को याद किया।

1924 में जन्‍मे वाजपेयी ने बीजेपी के जन्‍म से लेकर उसके अपने दम पर केंद्र की सत्‍ता में पहुंचने का दौर देखा। तीन बार प्रधानमंत्री पद की कुर्सी पर बैठे वाजपेयी को मृदुभाषी लेकिन वाचाल माना जाता रहा। उनके भाषण की खास शैली थी जो लोगों को मुरीद बनाती थी।
