धर्मपुर उपमंडल की बहरी पंचायत के थाती बहरी गांव की एक महिला ने मिट्टी का तेल छिड़कर आत्मदाह करने का प्रयास किया। उसे गंभीर हालत में मेडिकल कॉलेज हमीरपुर रैफर कर दिया गया है। बताया जा रहा है कि दमोदरी देवी पत्नी तिलक राज नाम की उक्त महिला दोपहर करीब 2 बजे घर से कुछ ही दूरी पर खेत में पहुंची और यह कदम उठा लिया। जानकारी के अनुसार उक्त महिला घर से ही मिट्टी का तेल साथ लेकर गई थी। वहीं जब तक लोगों को इस बात का पता चलता तब तक महिला 95 प्रतिशत जल चुकी थी।
घटना के तुरंत बाद परिजन मौके पर पहुंचे और उसे सिविल अस्पताल पहुंचाया, जहां से चिकित्सकों ने उसे मेडिकल कॉलेज हमीरपुर रैफर कर दिया है। महिला की उम्र 46 वर्ष है और उसका पति लोक निर्माण विभाग में बेलदार के पद पर कार्यरत है। महिला की दो बेटियां भी हैं। महिला ने आग क्यों लगाई फिलहाल धर्मपुर पुलिस इस बारे में जांच कर रही है। डीएसपी सरकाघाट चंद्रपाल ने कहा कि महिला ने स्वयं को आग लगाई है और करीब 95 प्रतिशत जल चुकी है। उन्होंने कहा कि महिला को हमीरपुर रैफर कर दिया है।
