गुमटी में जिंदा जल गया चौकीदार

सर्दियों की आमद के साथ पिछले दिनों से प्रदेश में आग लगने की घटनाएं भी सामने आने लगी हैं। इसी तरह की घटना जिले में बीबीएमबी वर्कशॉप की गुमटी में भी हुई। यहां मंगलवार तड़के आग लगने से ड्यूटी पर तैनात एक चौकीदार जिंदा जल गया तथा उसकी मौत हो गई। मृतक चौकीदार की पहचान 59 वर्षीय प्रेम सिंह परमार निवासी भरजवानु तहसील सुंदरनगर के रूप में हुई है।घटना की सूचना मिलते ही बीबीएमबी की फायर ब्रिगेड ने काफी कसरत करने के बाद आग काबू में की। हालांकि तब तक गुमटी पूरी तरह जल चुकी थी। इसके अंदर प्रेम सिंह की भी मौत हो गई थी। डीएसपी सुंदरनगर गुरबचन सिंह और बीएसएल थाना से एएसआई महेंद्र सिंह ठाकुर की अगुवाई में पुलिस टीम ने मौके पर पहुंचकर जांच की। वहीं मौके पर पहुंची फोरेंसिक टीम ने भी साक्ष्य जुटाए। अभी तक आग लगने के कारणों का खुलासा नहीं हो पाया है। प्रथम दृष्टया में आग लगने का कारण शार्ट सर्किट माना जा रहा है। गौरतलब है कि बीबीएमबी के इस स्टोर में आमतौर पर दो चौकीदार होते थे लेकिन सोमवार को प्रेम सिंह अकेला था। घटनास्थल से हीटर और मृतक का टिफिन भी जली अवस्था में मिले हैं। डीएसपी गुरबचन सिंह ने मामले कि पुष्टि करते हुए बताया कि जांच जारी है। शव का पोस्टमार्टम सिविल अस्पताल सुंदरनगर में करवाने के लिए भेजा गया है।
