जिला के सरकाघाट उपमंडल की बलद्वाड़ा तहसील मुख्यालय से एक किलोमीटर पीछे जाहू-घुमारवीं सड़क पर कोहनी पुल के पास लैंटर डालने के लिए 26 मजदूरों को ले जा रही जीप तेज गति के कारण दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हो गई। जीप में सवार मजदूर रिवालसर के ऊपर नैणाधार में एक घर का लैंटर डालने के लिए जा रहे थे। दुर्घटना का पता चलते ही स्थानीय लोगों ने उन्हें गाड़ी से निकाल कर बाहर बिठा दिया और निजी गाड़ी में डालकर सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र बलद्वाड़ा में उपचार के लिए दाखिल करवा दिया। इनमें से 2 की हालत गंभीर होने के कारण उन्हें मेडिकल कॉलेज हमीरपुर के लिए रैफर कर दिया है। डीएसपी चंद्रपाल सिंह ने घटना की पुष्टि करते हुए कहा कि दुर्घटना चालक की लापरवाही के कारण हुई है और उसके विरुद्ध मामला दर्ज कर लिया गया है।
