देश में चल रहे किसान आंदोलन के बीच गदर फेम हीरो तथा भाजपा सांसद सनी देओल ने सरकार के समर्थन में ट्वीट किया है। उन्होंने लिखा

मेरी पूरी दुनिया से विनती है कि यह किसान और हमारी सरकार का मामला है,इसके बीच में कोई भी न आए क्योंकि दोनों आपस में बातचीत करके इसका हल निकालेंगे। मैं जानता हूं कई लोग इसका फायदा उठाना चाहते हैं और वह लोग अड़चन डाल रहे हैं। वो किसानों के बारे में बिल्कुल नहीं सोच रहे, उनका अपना ही खुद का कोई स्वार्थ हो सकता है। दीप सिद्धू, जो चुनाव के वक्त मेरे साथ था, लंबे समय से मेरे साथ नहीं है वह जो कुछ भी कर रहा है और कह रहा है, वह खुद अपनी इच्छा अनुसार कर और कह रहा है। मेरा उसकी किसी भी गतिविधि से कोई संबंध नहीं है। मैं अपनी पार्टी और किसानों के साथ हूं और हमेशा किसानों के साथ रहूंगा। हमारी सरकार ने हमेशा किसानों के भले के बारे में ही सोचा है और मुझे यकीन है कि सरकार उनके साथ बातचीत करके सही नतीजे पर पहुंचेगी।
