कांग्रेस की अंतरिम अध्यक्ष सोनिया गांधी और बहुजन समाज पार्टी सुप्रीमो मायावती को भारत रत्न दिए जाने की मांग पर बिहार के मुख्यमंत्री नीतीश कुमार ने अपनी प्रतिक्रिया दी है। पटना में पत्रकारों से बात करते हुए सीएम नीतीश ने कहा कि सब लोगों को मांग करने का अधिकार है। उन लोगों के पास तो पहले सरकार थी। आज मांग कर रहे हैं। पहले ही दिलवा देते।
दरअसल, मंगलवार को कांग्रेस महासचिव और उत्तराखंड के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री हरीश रावत ने ट्वीट कर मायावती और सोनिया गांधी को भारत रत्न देने की मांग की थी। रावत का कहना था कि सोनिया गांधी को आज भारत की नारीत्व का गौरवशाली स्वरूप माना जाता है जबकि मायावती ने वर्षों से पीड़ित-शोषित लोगों के मन में एक अद्भूत विश्वास का संचार किया है। ऐसे में दोनों को इस साल भारत रत्न से नवाजा जाना चाहिए।
हरीश रावत ने प्रधानमंत्री मोदी को टैग करते हुए लिखा था, ‘आदरणीय सोनिया गांधी जी व सम्मानित बहन मायावती जी, दोनों प्रखर राजनैतिक व्यक्तित्व हैं। आप उनकी राजनीति से सहमत और असहमत हो सकते हैं, मगर इस तथ्य से इनकार नहीं कर सकते हैं कि सोनिया जी ने भारतीय महिला की गरिमा और सामाजिक समर्पण व जनसेवा के मांदंडों को एक नई ऊंचाई व गरिमा प्रदान की है। आज उन्हें भारत की नारीत्व का गौरवशाली स्वरूप माना जाता है। सुश्री मायावती जी ने वर्षों से पीड़ित-शोषित लोगों के मन में एक अद्भूत विश्वास का संचार किया है। भारत सरकार को चाहिए कि इन दोनों व्यक्तित्वों को इस वर्ष का भारत रत्न देकर अलंकृत करें।’
रावत के ट्वीट पर प्रतिक्रिया देते हुए बीएसपी ने कहा था कि उनकी मांग केवल सार्वजनकि रूप से मूर्ख बनाने की रणनीति से ज्यादा कुछ भी नहीं है। पार्टी का कहना था कि कांग्रेस की सरकारें बाबा साहेब आम्बेडकर को सर्वोच्च सम्मान देने में विफल रहीं। बीएसपी संस्थापक कांशीराम और मायावती सहित अन्य बीएसपी नेताओं ने मांग भी उठाई थी। बीएसपी ने कहा कि हम लोगों ने कांशीराम के लिए भी इसी सम्मान की मांग की थी। लेकिन जब कांग्रेस सत्ता में थी तो उसने इसके लिए कुछ नहीं किया। अब जब वे सत्ता में नहीं हैं तो ऐसी मांग कर रहे हैं।
