प्रदेश के वयोवृद्ध स्वतंत्रता सेनानी सत्यमित्र बक्शी आर्य (94) का वीरवार को निधन हो गया। उनका अंतिम संस्कार शुक्रवार को ऊना में किया जाएगा। उनका जन्म 1926 में बाबा लक्ष्मण दास आर्य व माता दुर्गा बाई आर्य के घर हुआ था। उन्होंने वर्ष 1942 में अंग्रेजों भारत छोड़ो आंदोलन में हिस्सा लिया। वह शहीद भगत सिंह के साथी किशोरी लाल के साथ लाहौर जेल में करीब 9 माह तक रहे। उनके परिवार ने वर्ष 1905 में ऊना में आजादी के संघर्ष में कदम बढ़ाया था, वहीं आजादी के बाद वह समाज के लिए प्रेरणास्त्रोत बने रहे।
उन्होंने अपने घर को भारत माता का मंदिर भी बनाया हुआ है। वह बच्चों को शिक्षा के लिए मदद करते रहे। डीसी राघव शर्मा ने शोक प्रकट किया और कहा कि स्वतंत्रता सेनानी को पूरे सम्मान के साथ अंतिम विदाई दी जाएगी। वयोवृद्ध स्वतंत्रता सेनानी सत्यमित्र बक्शी आर्य के निधन पर कैबिनेट मंत्री वीरेंद्र कंवर, नेता विपक्ष मुकेश अग्निहोत्री, केंद्रीय वित्त राज्य मंत्री अनुराग ठाकुर, राज्य वित्तायोग के अध्यक्ष सतपाल सिंह सत्ती, कांग्रेस नेता विवेक विक्कू, पूर्व मंत्री कुलदीप कुमार व अन्य नेताओं ने शोक प्रकटकिया है।
